Aesthetic Braces

Aesthetic braces will allow you to smile with complete confidence.
They let you continue your lifestyle comfortably and without self-consciousness.
Aesthetic braces are divided into two types, both of which are offered at our clinic: sapphire braces and ceramic braces.
By choosing between them, you can find the option that best suits your needs.

What are ceramic braces used for?

The appeal of ceramic braces goes beyond just appearance.
They are generally more comfortable than metal braces. The brackets are designed to be smoother, which helps reduce irritation against the lips and cheeks.
This feature makes treatment more comfortable, especially for those who need to wear braces for an extended period.
Additionally, while ceramic braces are less noticeable, they are just as effective as metal braces in straightening teeth.

Ceramic brackets rank among the top choices for patients in orthodontic treatment due to their aesthetic appearance and functional advantages. Among these brackets, the aesthetic standard ceramic bracket – Glam – as well as the self-ligating ceramic brackets – QuicKlear and TrueKlear – are particularly noteworthy. Each is made from transparent, tooth-colored material, ensuring patients’ social comfort and making them less noticeable during treatment. The self-ligating models, namely QuicKlear and TrueKlear, feature a special design that allows the archwire to function with less friction, thereby making the treatment process more comfortable. All of these ceramic bracket models are produced by Forestadent (Germany), a global leader, and fully meet high quality standards. At our clinic, we use only such high-quality brackets, providing patients with reliable, aesthetic, and effective orthodontic care.

  • The main advantage of ceramic braces is their aesthetically pleasing appearance.
They are less visible than traditional metal braces, making them an ideal choice for adults and teenagers who prefer a more discreet treatment.

  • The smooth and compact design of ceramic braces causes less irritation inside the mouth compared to traditional metal braces.

  • Despite their discreet appearance, ceramic braces are just as effective as metal braces in straightening teeth and correcting bite issues.

  • Clear brackets can be matched to the color of your teeth, providing a more personalized treatment option.

What are sapphire braces?

Sapphire braces are transparent, high-quality brackets used to straighten teeth.
Unlike metal braces, sapphire braces blend well with the natural color of the teeth, making them much less noticeable.
They are also durable and suitable for long-term use.
These braces provide a cleaner and more attractive appearance, making them an ideal choice for those who prefer a more discreet orthodontic treatment.

How long does treatment with sapphire braces take?

The duration of orthodontic treatment with sapphire braces depends on several factors, including:

– the quality of materials used by the specialist,
– the patient’s level of cooperation,
– the complexity of the dental issue,
– the experience of the orthodontist, and
– the overall progress of the treatment.

In general, for moderate dental problems, orthodontic treatment lasts approximately 18 months.
In more complex cases, the treatment period may range between 24 and 30 months, and in some instances, it can extend up to 36 months.

Questions and Answers about Aesthetic Braces

1. What are aesthetic braces and how do they differ from metal braces? Aesthetic braces are made from tooth-colored materials (ceramic, composite, sapphire, or plastic), making them less noticeable than traditional metal braces. They also adhere more smoothly to the tooth surfaces, which reduces irritation of the soft tissues in the mouth.

3. What are the disadvantages and limitations of aesthetic braces? Cost: They are generally more expensive than metal braces. Durability: Some ceramic types are slightly more brittle than metal braces and may not withstand heavy force. Risk of Discoloration: Transparent plastic/appliances can develop mild color changes over time due to exposure to tea, coffee, tobacco, and similar factors.

2. What are the advantages of aesthetic braces? Invisibility: Thanks to their tooth-colored materials, they draw far less attention. Comfort: Ceramic and composite materials have a smooth surface, which causes less irritation to the gums and cheeks. Boosted Confidence: With a more discreet appearance, there’s less social self-consciousness during treatment.

4. How long does treatment with aesthetic braces last? The duration of treatment depends on the individual case, but it typically ranges from 18 to 24 months. In some mild cases, it can be as short as 12 months, while severe alignment issues may extend treatment up to around 30 months. The treatment plan is finalized after the orthodontist’s examination.
